I wrote this story for my daughters shortly before I deployed to Afghanistan. As a combat soldier there was no guarantee I would return home. Nonetheless, one thing I did want my kids to know, is that no matter what, I loved them and they still had a Heavenly Father watching over them, whom they could take comfort from in my absence.

Synopsis:

Two little lambs have a wonderful life, but wonder why daddy sheep has to keep leaving to face the wolves. Mommy sheep does her best to answer their questions and provide some comfort.
